Czech Society for Cybernetics and Informatics, announced at the beginning of 2019, a traditional national contest of digital literacy for Czech schools. The objective of the contest was to encourage the digital literacy of pupils and balanced ratings by teachers towards pupils.

Czech Society for Cybernetics and Informatics (Czech abbreviation ČSKI) as a leading national authority of international ECDL / ICDL together in cooperation with CERTICON company holds a regular national competition for the most active schools, the most versatile and the most enthusiastic teacher. The year 2019 followed 3 previous events, that were highly anticipated by schools, students, and teachers. In the period between the 1st of January and 31st of May 2019, almost 40 schools were evaluated together with more than 1000 of their students. The criterion for success was not only the total number of ECDL exams realized but also their structure (selected modules).
In 2019 in category for the most active school, two first places were announced. The award was given to two schools: Gymnázium, Praha 4, Postupická a Střední průmyslová škola, Obchodní akademie a Jazyková škola s právem státní jazykové zkoušky, Frýdek-Místek. The best place for the school was awarded not only due to a high number of exams but also thanks to many exams from M12 module – Safe usage of IT technologies (IT Security), module 15 – Searching, evaluating and processing information on the internet (Information Literacy) and module M16 – Basic of computational thinking and programming (Computing).
In the category for the most versatile male student the winner was unambiguous, Vítězslav Kříž, Střední průmyslové školy Česká Lípa, who from the modules M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7, M14 and M15 averaged more than 98 % success rate (educational content of ECDL modules available here http://www.ecdl.cz/sylaby.php). As the most versatile female student was selected Nela Hajzlerová, Obchodní akademie a Střední odborné školy cestovního ruchu Choceň, who solved exams from the same modules M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7, M14 and M15 with an average success rate over 88 %.
The winner in the category for the most enthusiastic teacher – testing leader was selected Mgr. Petr Zerzán, Delty – Střední školy ekonomie a informatiky, and as the most enthusiastic teacher – evaluator of exam’s results was selected Mgr. Rudolf Naxer, Střední průmyslové školy a Vyšší odborné školy Chomutov.
CSKI decided to announce a special category for braveness. This award went to Damián Hajduk, Střední školy a vyšší odborné školy aplikované kybernetiky, who achieved the best results in two exams from advanced program ECDL in the framework of practical profile school leaving-exam.
