The main goal of the “Cooperation with Industry sector” portal is to enable effective and versatile collaboration between industrial partners (companies) and the university members, mostly with its students. 182 companies are involved so far.The Industrial Cooperation Portal (SSP) was created and is being developed thanks to the centralized development project of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the financial support of the Faculty of Information Technology of CTU. At the beginning of the project, an effort was made to make the ideal case where the SSP Portal will manage everything, to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Since 2014, the portal has been launched on a full-scale basis. The main goal of the “Cooperation with the Industry sector” portal is to enable effective and versatile collaboration between industrial partners (companies) and the university members, mostly with its students. The SSP represents a unique concept, that is with its scope and the level of the integration with the academia / educational sector first of its kind! 182 companies are involved so far. Each semester CoFIT career fair is also being organized, where students can get acquainted with IT companies.
A chances for a students and for business sector too
The common practice is that students work in specialized companies as part-timers during their studies. They aquire experience that, unfortunately, are not connected with their studies. Thanks to the Industry Cooperation portal, however, it is possible to make the project tuition and the final outcome usable for the company, as well as practical for the students as a part of their studies, as they might have a chance, to have their practice to be admitted in the related subjects of their study. Through the SSP portal, students can participate in an interesting practical projects during their studies. Students work on a predefined task, that is afterward approved by their teacher.
A project tailored to suit you
The use of smart algorithms is also innovative, ensuring that students who meet the specified requirements best are recommended for the projects. Eligibility of the candidates is assessed by so-called guaranteed assessment, which is based on the calculated ability of the student‘s (ie results of already completed subjects are taken into consideration). This element motivates the student to improve his profile, hence thus his / her skills (= gamification)
