Bosch Diesel s.r.o. together with other companies in the region, were aware of the declining number of potential future workers in the technical sector. Therefore, business representatives began to promote the interest of children, pupils and students, and in 2013, they launched the “Mercury to School” program for pupils of the 4 to the 8 grades.
Activities with construction kits had a positive response and have grown in popularity among children and cantors. Together with the idea of extending those activities to the remaining pupils, in cooperation with the companies of the Vysočina Region, completely
new construction kit was created, “Roto of Vysočina“, for the pupils of the 1 to 3. class of the elementary school. All first-graders are being given this kit in September by the region Vysočina.
To help teachers, the Region also created new methodologies and worksheets.
With this, a complete tutorial was made for every single grade of elementary schools and children develop their imagination of space, starting with the composing in the first
class up to the basics of robotics at ninth grade. All this during recommended 10-hour time subsidy for each year.
Construction companies did not wait and came up with their own idea: put the brick on the brick. Therefore, with a model of the house and including the construction of the house into the student’s schedule. This model, for a change, addresses to the future generation of builders, architects and constructors and supports fantasy, gentle motor skills and patience of all the children. And this is only in primary schools. In the high schools, students build real homes, real cars, rebuild tractors. In short, they get into practice with modern technologies thanks to a large amount of evergrowing supporting projects.
In the Vysočina region, the principle of the cooperation is simple – when companies are initiative and are willing to invest in their future, the doors are never closed to them. They get space for negotiation. The region is willing to hear out different ideas, which leads to the mutual satisfaction inside the region. Thanks to this, agriculture, construction and engineering sectors yield success already. It’s just a matter of time when the IT sector will also take the opportunity to support future IT professionals in the digital age.
